Scranton, Pa. –  Goodwill Industries of Northeastern Pennsylvania is partnering with the Mid Valley School District, Throop, on a Professional Connections Foundation program.

Students in Mid Valley teacher Amy Capman’s class are taking part in the program that provides workplace readiness instruction in a classroom followed by students traveling into the community to meet with employers and tour workplaces. Tour sites have included Fastenal Company, Sarno & Son Tuxedo, The Home Depot, The Releafery, Memorial Vet Hospital, Sam’s Club, and DICK’s House of Sport. The program is supported by Pennsylvania’s Office of Vocational Rehabilitation.
