How to Donate to Goodwill
Cleaned out your closet, garage, basement or attic? Maybe you are moving or need to make some room and simplify your life. That’s the first step in helping Goodwill.
Next, head to a Goodwill Store or Donation Center. When you arrive to drop off your items, a friendly donation attendant will help you unload your items and don’t forget to get your receipt for tax purposes before you leave.
Donated goods are essential to Goodwill’s retail operation. It is our goal to reduce, reuse, recycle throughout all we do. The sale of all donated goods funds Goodwill’s mission programs and makes it possible for Goodwill to help meet the changing community needs of individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
Goodwill has made this an easy process. We are open for donations with day, evening and weekend hours to make it convenient. Donating to Goodwill gives you the satisfaction of knowing that when you’re finished cleaning and sorting, it’s just one quick trip to your neighborhood Goodwill Store or Donation Center to help your community!
All donated items must be in good, clean, sellable condition. We do not repair, refinish or reupholster. Goodwill has developed the following guidelines to help increase the amount of “sellable” donations received.

Technology is improving every day. Today’s computers are quickly leaving yesterday’s systems in the past — or in your closet, basement or attic.
Dell has made it easy for you to recycle your used computer equipment through Dell Reconnect, a partnership with Goodwill Industries of Northeastern PA. Simply take your old computer equipment of any brand, working or not, including keyboards, mouse, printer and other computer components to any of our stores or donation centers.
